Born2Sing deliver our SEN classes in Dubai

Born2Sing visited the United Arab Emirates in September 2024 to deliver music classes to the Dubai Autism Center. I visited the largest organisation in the UAE serving children with Autism Spectrum Disorders . I was welcomed and shown around a wonderful school offering outstanding provision for young people with ASD. The school offered a regular curriculum as well as support that went above and beyond what I have seen before. Their sensory room was enormous with completely cushioned floors and walls, two large playgrounds, an outdoor swimming pool, a fully functioning house to teach life skills and even a cinema to teach social skills. I was simply blown away.

I went on to teach three amazing classes and got to know the schools wonderful children. We sang together, had fun with sensory equipment, explored instruments and different sounds. I was overwhelmed with some of the vocalisation in the classes, it was truly heartwarming. I continued to deliver lessons over 3 days and felt very welcomed and apart of the school.

One the last day there was a coffee morning for the parents where I hosted a presentation in person and via live stream discussing the benefits of music and singing for Autistic people. This allowed the parents an opportunity to ask me any questions which they they all found beneficial and it was great to get to know the parents of some of the wonderful children I had been teaching.

I felt absolutely privileged to visit this fantastic in a beautiful city and very much look forward to any future visits and collaborations in the future.

Born2Sing Open Mic Night

Born2Sing have been hosting Open Mic Nights this year at Changes Coffee Shop in Solihull. These have been a fantastic way for our students to share what they have been learning in lessons in a safe space.

Our Students

Our students all performed so well at our recent Open Mic Nights. These have taken place at Changes Coffee Shop in Solihull. Born2Sing wanted to give our students regular opportunities to perform to the families in a relaxed, friendly and safe space where they feel comfortable to share their talents.

It was completely overwhelming at our Open Mic Night watching children that have never sang in front of an audience before getting up in front of their friends and family and singing their heart out. There were many moments that guests had tears in their years because of the emotions felt in the room that evening.

Support and Succeed

Watching our students feeling supported and able to perform on our Open Mic gave them all so much confidence. You could see their smiles and feel the sense of achievement after they sang their song. With gentle encouragement and a no pressure attitude we believe anyone can succeed and achieve their goals.

What Born2Sing do each week
Each week Born2Sing teach nearly one hundred children and adults to sing and help them find their own voice. We feel honoured to work with so many wonderful people and meet so many amazing families.

What sort of lessons can you have with Born2Sing?
With Born2Sing you can have private one to one lessons with one of our trained vocal coaches. You can have online vocal lessons or you can have group lessons at our academy.
